Phoenix is currently the 5th largest city in the nation with a wide diverse population and expansive history.  With the combination of 21 Native American tribes, the city has not forgotten its past and encourages its visitors to investigate and understand its multi-cultural background.

While NCEA explores its many areas of study, let's take a look around Phoenix.  Did you know that Arizona was the 48th state to enter the United States!  Arizona became a state Feb. 14, 1912.  Arizona is also known for the most famous gunfight in the West - the shoot out at the O.K. Corral.

Famous Arizonians - Erma Bombeck, Glen Campbell, Lynda Carter, Cesar Chavez, Cochise, Wyatt Earp, Geronimo, Zane Grey, Bill Keane, Sandra Day O'Connor just to name a few.

With areas such as Grand Canyon to the north west and Sedona to the north  and golf everywhere you turn there is bound to be something for everyone at conference this year.

Phoenix is located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert with average weather conditions for the month of November:

Average high temperature: 75
Average low temperature: 48
Warmest ever: 93
Coldest ever: 25
Average precipitation: .6

It doesn't get better than that!

So start planning your trip, think about being a presenter or speaker and we will have more information for you soon.  From Phoenix here are some side locations to go explore.
