Creative Partnerships for Prevention

The goal of this national initiative is to provide current information, ideas, and resources on how to use the arts and humanities to enhance drug and violence prevention programming, foster resiliency in youth, and implement collaborations within communities to strengthen prevention programs for youth. The materials developed for this initiative have been designed with the guidance of educators, prevention specialists, youth workers, and professionals from cultural institutions (arts and humanities organizations, museums, libraries, etc.).

National Dropout Prevention Center/Network

The purpose of the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network is to provide resources that enable a new or enhanced appreciation for the importance of a quality education and a high school diploma.

National Institute on the Education of At-Risk Students

The National Institute on the Education of At-Risk Students (At-Risk Institute) is one of five Institutes created by the Educational Research, Development, Dissemination and Improvement Act of 1994. These Institutes are located within the Office of Educational Research and Improvement at the U.S. Department of Education. The At-Risk Institute supports a range of research and development activities designed to improve the education of students at risk of educational failure because of limited English proficiency, poverty, race, geographic location, or economic disadvantage. Major components of work by the Institute include National Research and Development Centers, Field-Initiated Studies, Small Business Innovation Research, Directed Research and Publications.

National Network for Youth

For 25 years, the National Network for Youth has been dedicated to ensuring that young people can be safe and lead healthy and productive lives. With more than 700 direct members and 1,500 constituents involved in its regional and state networks, the National Network informs public policy, educates the public and strengthens the field of youth work.

National School Safety Center

The National School Safety Center serves as a catalyst and advocate for the prevention of school crime and violence by providing information and resources and identifying strategies and promising programs which support safe schools for school children worldwide.
