Beth H. Robertson joins the National Community Education Association (NCEA) as Executive Director after more than 20 years of success in association and program management. Beth’s expertise in strategic communications, marketing, and public relations, fiscal management, and legislative action combined with her community involvement make her a welcome addition to NCEA.
Prior to joining NCEA, Beth was Vice President of Communications Services with the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions, where she led public relations strategies and policies, issues management programs and initiatives, media relations and publicity, management of the association’s publications, website and e-commerce management, research objectives, and white papers.
From 1997-2003, Beth was the Public Relations Officer for the Prince William County Park Authority, acting as a liaison to citizen and business lobbyists and managing promotions through media campaigns, brand identity, public relations, and strategic communications.
Additionally, Beth devoted nearly a decade to the management of local community facilities such as community and nature centers. Herself a lifelong learner, Beth donates a significant portion of her own time to local community theater groups.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Parks and Recreation Administration, emphasis in Commercial Management, and a minor in Communications from Pennsylvania State University. She has received numerous awards and honors for her creativity and excellence in communications, media relations, and marketing.
